This is an incredible once in a life time river voyage filled with sights unlike anywhere else in Europe. You’ll experience a unique culture still evolving from the Czarist period through communism, to today’s democratic, capitalist society; it is exciting to see history being made. Tourism is still in its infancy in Russia and river cruising is the best way to get a safe and comfortable view of this former communist country. We will cruise the Volga and Baltic River Waterways on board the AMA Katerina. She is a 212 passenger cruise ship completely rebuilt in 2010-2011 featuring spacious staterooms, a panoramic lounge and bar, a lovely restaurant offering delicious cuisine, and many other amenities.
